NRF Competitive Research Programme (NRF CRP)

NRF Competitive Research Programme (NRF CRP)

Objectives

The National Research Foundation Competitive Research Programme (CRP) funding scheme seeks to foster the formation of multi-disciplinary teams to conduct cutting-edge research projects relevant to Singapore and society.

The CRP funds use-inspired basic research projects selected through a merit review process based on research excellence. "Use-inspired" means that the theme of the proposed research project must be motivated by an important need or problem to be solved, while "basic research" means that the proposed research does not need to lead to any commercialisation or translational outcomes during the project duration/term.

Types of CRP Grants

CRP

CRP funds use-inspired basic research, enabling the consolidation of research expertise and supports large-scale multi-disciplinary research in areas where Singapore aims to build capabilities.
